OPERATING DWARF SIGNAL
Dwarf signal produced by Lionel in 1988-98. A remake of the postwar #148 from the 50's. Brown body, black twinlight lans hood(uses pin-type bulbs). This accessory was always a popular little item on Lionel layouts featuring complex switch yards, sidings, and terminals. Green light automatically turns red to warn following trains when track ahead is occupied. This LTI version improved on the postwar version by using an pressure plate for operation. An under used accessory by operators, that is very useful on the layout. Remember the dwarf signal control's the traffic in slow down areas such as yards, sidings, and terminals. |
