| A remake of the classic postwar American Flyer #779 from 1955-56(6-2300 Mpc made 1983-87). A well-designed and entertaining trackside accessory. Plastic molded gray base, yellow house, and green roof. When the button is pressed, a die-cast forklift truck scurries to a ramp alongside the structure concealing the operating motor. It tilts a metal barrel onto it's loading platform and scoots across the deck, ultimately tipping the barrel into a waiting gondola. This is one of the best operating accesories made by Lionel, and has lots of play value. Sold well, but was never cheap at $159.95. |
