Produced by Lionel in 2002. Back in the mid thirty's just like the real railroads, Lionel was forced to improve the desierability of steam engines. In an attempt to save the dwindling steamers the New York Central railroad fitted their famous hudson with sheet metal to give it a sharper look, a streamlined look. Well, Lionel took advantage of this opportunity to make a sleek-looking futuristic steamer. The Commodore Vanderbilt. Features include:
