| Produced by Lionel in 1997. A remake of their classic Madison passenger cars from the 1930-40's. These cars were made to matchup with the NYC J-1E Hudson also from 1997(6-18056). Features: classic postwar plastic body molds, illuminated with window silhouettes, spring loaded swinging doors, die-cast six wheel trucks, two operating couplers, handsome tuscan paint scheme with white lettering, and all the cars are named after Lionel executive officers(Mazzone, Caruso, Raphael, Cowen). An add-on two pack came out in 1998(6-19096). One of the classiest passenger sets made by Lionel, and looks great behind any large steam. |
