6-22922 SOUTHERN PACIFIC INTERMODAL CRANE

Produced in 1998, and truly one of the best accessories design introduced by Lionel. Operationally, this crane was awesome, with great play value. Also signified LTI's commitment at the time to move Lionel railroading into the modern freight-hauling age. Allowed you to pickup the trailer containers off the Lionel flatcar and TTux's. Capable of its own forward and revese driven motion, it will also swing right or left, and its carrying jaws will open and shut, grasp a trailer, lift it(Lionel recommends lifting no more than seven ounces, and using there trailers) and move it right or left. Plastic construction with string-driven motions powered by two can motors mounted within the roof. Has lighted cab, on right side, The crane works through a five-lever controller. Needs an large area on the layout to get it's full capability. Great the the rail yard. Measures 14" and 12" wide, it's big. Very large yellow crane structure with black Mi-Jack and SP lettering You can drive it all over the layout, pick up and transport intermodal containers anywhere and return them to the rail car. It can pick up and transport all the other childrens treasures and be driven from room to room!!! Super Lionel quality and durability - like all Lionel it will last for years.
