| The Lackawanna was one of the earliest railroads to start piggyback service. and they offered real fast service as advertised on the car. They interchanged with the Nickle Plate, and between the two railroads, they offerd overnight service between NY, Buffalo and Cleveland and all points between, and 24 hour service beween NY and Chicago. Flatcar has metal trucks with springs and operating couplers. Trailer is removable from flatcar, the container of the trailer is removable from the trailer frame, and has opening doors on the rear so your children can load and unload it. Add this to your piggy back fleet for loads of fun. |
