New for 2007, the classic EMD GP7 joins the roster of Lionel Standard O diesel locomotives. Produced from 1949 to the mid-1950s, well over 2,500 prototype GP7 locomotives hauled freight across the United States and Canada. The new Standard O diesel locomotives feature all-new bodies with separately applied details prototypical to the road name. The powered units are equipped with the Lionel LEGACY Control System and LEGACY Speed Control.
