MDT HOT BOX REFRIGERATOR CAR

 

When a wheel bearing overheats it causes the brakeman's nightmare known as a "hot box". These new cars allow you to recreate this red hot situation. The scenario begins with an irregular sound and a whiff of smoke. Crew dialog keeps you on top of the situation with reports such as "Something's burning!" and "We've got a blazer!" Smoke, lights and screeching intensify until you, the engineer, initiate an emergency stop to let your crew "Cool that spindle."
