CANADIAN NATIONAL 2-6-0 MOGUL Feb 2004

Although the wheel arrangement was first developed in the mid-19th century, the 2-6-0 Mogul type ran on North American rails through the 1950s. After the turn of the 20th century, they still hauled light passenger and light freight consists. Their proven power even served in switching duties. Moguls were especially popular in branch line service where lighter rail and tight clearances restricted the use of larger, more "modern" motive power. These scale-sized Lionel steamers can negotiate tight O-31 curves making them versatile enough to handle just about any O gauge layout. All of the new 2-6-0s have many of our latest features including the new synchronized smoke system. Each version features details unique to that particular road name. TMCC, RailSounds, CrewTalk, TowerCom, DynaChuff synchronized chuffing. Odyssey System for speed control. Operating headlight and backup light on tender. Lighted cab interior glowing firebox in cab. Engineer and fireman figures.
