PICKERING LUMBER CORP HEISLER APR

The scale-sized Lionel Heisler geared locomotive marks the first time that this off-road vehicle of railroading has been brought to O gauge rails. Heislers were favored by logging outfits like California's Pickering Lumber for their ability to handle steep grades and rough track. Just like the prototype, the Lionel Pickering Lumber Heisler includes a working drive train of spinning gears, cranks and shafts. The TMCC-equipped locomotive includes the RailSounds sound system featuring unique effects based on recordings of actual Heislers in action.
