| Produced in 2001, and only available in Lionel's 3-car reissue 6464 boxcar series #10(6-39202). A remake of the classic rare postwar Alaska 6464-825, produced in 1959-60. FEATURES:plastic molded body, die-cast sprung trucks with operating couplers, opening doors w/metal guides, and classic 1960's Lionel Alaska paint scheme and graphics(a complete knock off of the Lionel's 1960 orange version). The reintroduction of the postwar 6464 boxcar's has become one of the most desirable series produced in the modern era Lionel. Tough to find broken up from the set. These series lead Lionel to create the Postwar Celebration Series in the late 90's. One of the most popular postwar boxcars produced, everyone loves Alaska. |
