an eighth of an inch thick wall
  • The real station was built in Grizzly Flats, California in the late 1800's. It was transported to Ward Kimball's backyard railroad at his home near Hollywood. Ward was Disney's first animator of Mickey Mouse
  • The station was used in a number of Disney movies, and sat along the track of his full size Hawaiian Plantation Railroad
  • Another building was a three stall roundhouse housing a the steam engine and passenger cars which were operated frequently, especially on Sundays
  • The station housed some of Wards extensive train collection, and was part of the tour at the 1971 Train Collector's Association convention at Disneyland, CA - we sat in the bay window office with Ward!
  • This model was created especially for the TCA and Ward's own one was auctioned at the 2004 banquet, having been sent from Lou Redman, John Parker and Ward Kimball per writing on the box (all three had been TCA presidents)
  • It is from Don Shaw's personal collection. DNS.
