AUTOMATIC CROSSING SHANTY W/MAN

Produced by Marx from the mid to late 1950's. Highly detailed metal lithographed shanty with blue plastic watchman fixed to the door that swings out when actuated, and a plastic crossing gate descends. A tough period piece to find in nice operating condition. Base measures 7" by 6 1/2" and it is 5 1/2" high. Actually a look nicer looking than the Lionel 145 gateman! This example comes with the original box (loose flaps as shown), instruction sheet, and plastic crossing base. The crossing arm does not attach to its' base, and there is a slight scratch from the bottom of the watchman's door as shown. Great for the operator! In Very Good (C6) condition. LG.
