LIONEL PRE-WAR 092 SIGNAL TOWER
This signal tower, sold from 1932 through 1937 was essentially a 438 less its supports. The base of the 092 tower measured 4 1/8" x 2 13/16". The first version of the signal tower had a mojave base, terracotta walls, pea green roof, maroon doors and cream windows. Some of these towers were made with the doors painted to simulate wood grain. Another version had a brown base, terracotta walls, pea green roof, cream windows and brown doors with black lines. Another similar version had a pea green roof and red doors. Yet another version had a mojave base with white walls, red roof, red doors and pea green windows. |
