#1666 LOCO/#2666W TENDER PASSENGER SET (1941)

The die-cast loco w/headlight and plastic tender are black. The loco has a metal numbered insert (#1666) under the cab windows. The tender is rubber-stamped with "Lionel Lines". Passenger cars are slate green w/dark green roofs and cream door/window inserts. All are illuminated, have side panel numbers and operating couplers. SET INCLUDES: Engine #1666; Tender #2666W; 2 #2640 Pullmans; #2641 Observation Car; 8 0-27 curve track; 3 straight track; #1019 remote control track section; #1037 or #1041 Transformer; Instruction Booklet, #1067E-1-90.0x-6-39; Lockon; Wire. Set box is Type VIb, 1935-42 and utilized the Lionel orange/blue box tape covering all 4 sides. Both engine and tender came in Post-War style orange/blue cartons with corrugate protective inserts. Passenger cars came in the same orange/blue Post-War style cartons.
