1666 STEAM FREIGHT TRAIN OUTFIT (1941)

 

This set was a great starter set in 1941. It was mid-range for that era. The die-cast engine/tender combo were built to last, with basic O-27 freight cars. CONTENTS: 1666 Loco/2666W Tender (black) with 3659 automatic dump car, 2679 boxcar, 2680 tank car, 2672 caboose, 160 unloading bin, 8 0-27 curve track, 5 0-27 straight track, 1019 remote control track and a 1037 or 1041 transformer. This set was similar to Outfit # 1185, except this set came with boxcar #2679 (yellow w/maroon roof version 1939-42) instead of a gondola and had an added remote control dump car, bagged coal, and bin(#3659 from 1939-42).
