137 LIONELTOWN TRAIN-STOP STATION (ALL METAL)

 

Offered for sale by Lionel between 1937 and 1942. Tan base, ivory walls, vermillion roof, pea green door/window/attic frames, ivory chimneys and nickle name plates. The stop sequence is controlled by a slide lever under roof section. A single light bulb lights up the interior. This station was sold in the Postwar years as leftover stock, NOT as Postwar production. The station was offered in different color combinations during the production years. All stations had black lettering on the bottom base - NO. 137 STATION/MADE BY/THE LIONEL CORPORATION/NEW YORK/U.S. OF AMERICA.
