STREAMLINED GRAY STEAM TORPEDO TYPE
|Built 1936-40. The 238 was based on a K4 PENNSYLVANIA design. The prototype was a Pacific-type locomotive shrouded in a streamlined casing that had been tested in a wind tunnel. Die-cast superstructure; nickel plates and trim; E-unit reversing unit; sheet-metal tender waffle top tender(with or without whistle) 2225T-2225W-265-265W. Gunmetal version produced 1936-38.
