PRE-WAR 254 THREE CAR PASSENGER SET O GAUGE

Contents: 254 or 254E locomotive, two 610 Pullman cars, 612 observation car, 88 rheostat, eight curved track sections, six straight O gauge track sections, 068 warning signal, and paperwork. One of the best selling O gauge sets produced (made between 1924 and 1930 only). Numerous variations exist, but usually found in olive green. This set contains a 254 or 254E locomotive with two 610 Pullmans, and one 618 observation. It was cataloged in mojave, olive or pea green (pea-green being rarer, especially for the cars). Loco has brass trim, cast headlights, and the color of the passenger cars matches the locomotive. Pea green cars have orange inserts, olive cars have maroon inserts with the names "Observation" and "Pullman". Doors and window inserts are also orange or maroon. 254's are great runners, and were Lionel's top of the line electric O gauge loco for many years. Came in a type IVb outfit box, with individual component boxes.
