O GAUGE RED/BROWN CABOOSE HEAT-STAMPED (1940-42)

Built from 1940 to 1942. Later version of the O gauge full sized caboose. In 1940, the color scheme was changed. The body was painted a darker flat red and the roof and cupola were tuscan brown. The windows were painted white and the end railings were the same red as the body, with black journal boxes. Mid-way through 1940, the nickel number plates were replaced by direct heat-stamped lettering. Also featured high version simulated electric knuckle box couplers.
