OUTFIT #296a (1926-27);O GAUGE PASSENGER SET

 

  • Contents:252 locomotive, 2 606 Pullman Car; 609 observation car; 88 rheostat; 068 warning signal; 8 curved O gauge curved; 4 straight.
  • 1926 was the first year for the new 607-608 oassenger cars. In the catalog they only appeared in this outfit
  • All reported sets had peacock engines with brass trim, nickel strap headlight, red spoked drivers, and combination latch couplers. Some later models probably came with cast headlights and latch couplers
  • The passenger cars were always peacock with orange trim, rubber stamped "THE LIONEL LINES"
  • This set was also available from Sears both years as theri number 5188
