GREEN ESTATE SET WITH 381E ELECTRIC

381E "BILD-A-LOCO" electric type single motor locomotive with two electric headlights and four colored signal lights. The motor was made so that a young boy could pull it apart, service the motor then reassmble it without soldering. All electrical connections were made if the motor was assembled correctly. 1-No. 412 illuminated Pullman car, lettered "California." 1-No. 413 illuminated Pullman car, lettered "Colorado." 1-No. 414 illuminated Pullman car, lettered "Illinios." 1-No. 416 illuminated observation car, lettered "New York." The train is 107 inches long, nearly 9 feet in length. Without question, the finest miniature electric train in the world. This set, along with the Blue Comet, were the pride of Lionel. Equipped with powerful 17-inch twin-motor locomotive, and 21 1/2 inch cars. The cars all have roofs that open with the push of two small levers. Inside is a fully deatailed interior (minus the actual passengers) with chairs that actually swivel, interior illumination, and even bathrooms! The vestibule doors all open as well. This set is truly the pride of Lionel Pre-War.
