0-72 PREWAR MANUAL SWITCHES - RARITY 4++

Hand Operated # 721 1 1/4 inch Gauge Switch - Although in the 1941 catalog, we have never seen a hand operated pair before, only electric (remote control) 0-72 switches. The guides rate them as a rarity of 4+ - have you ever seen a set before? When the switch is turned to the straight position, the curve track is electrically de- energized (and vice versa). If you use these in a yard, it will cut off power and let you store an engine just by turning the lever on the switch. If used on a main line, put in insulating pin in the center rail several track sections away from the switch, and an oncoming train will stop if the switch is set against it. (Don't real railroads wish they had something like that)
