91 PRE-WAR CIRCUIT BREAKER WITH LIGHT

The diecast base of this accessory housed a circut breaker. The light above illuminated to indicate that trouble had caused the circuit breaker to open! It was sold continuously from 1930 until 1942. In the early Pre-War days, transformers were without built-in breakers, and trains ran without a circuit breaker (and roasted the insulation off the wires once in a while when a wheel caused a short).
