1107 ADVANCED CATALOG TEXAS SPECIAL SET 1960

Contents: 1055 Texas Special Alco A unit; 6042 or 6112 gondola with canisters; 6044 Airex boxcar; 6047 SP-type caboose; eight curved and two straight track; 1026 25-watt transformer.

Comments: The outfit box for this inexpensive advanced catalog set was a Type A white background display style that was titled "THE TEXAS SPECIAL" with blue and orange print. Instead of channels, the contents were separated by cardboard dividers. T he set carton was identical to 1105 from 1959 and often was a relabeled 1105 example. The rolling stock came with fixed couplers and arch- bar trucks.
