1465 2034 STEAM FREIGHT SET (1952)

Contents: 2034 steam locomotive with headlight, 6066T early coal tender, 6032 gondola, 6035 Sunoco single dome tank car, 6037 SP-type caboose, eight curved and three straight 027 track sections, 6019 uncoupling/operating section, and a 1012 35-watt transformer. Another of the semi-Scout sets with Scout trucks and magnetic couplers. The 2034 was a new number diecast engine based on the 1110 boiler, which was derived from the 1655 die. It came with a protective liner in a Middle Classic box. The tender and nondescript rolling stock also came in Middle Classic boxes. The outfit box was an anachronism, as it is a 1950-type with an orange panel, blue lettering, and the retail price, along with an OPS stamp. This may well have been a planned 1950 outfit that was not released. Even the number fits perfectly into the 1950 series between 1464W and 1467W.
