Lionel pw-2056
2056 LOCO AND TENDER (1952)
4-6-4 locomotive with 2046W tender. Painted diecast body with rubber-stamped numbers. Ornamental bell, wire handrails, and diecast trailing truck. Three position E-unit, and lighted headlight and smoke. No Magnetraction. Bar-end trucks on 2046W streamlined tender, with one operating magnetic coupler. This engine was built by Lionel as a hybrid. It utilizes the same boiler casting as a 736, but with a 4-6-4 Hudson wheel arrangement. This makes for one large loco with tremendous performance and good looks that is hard to duplicate in any other locomotive. Built in 1952 only. |
