U.S.STEEL PLATE GIRDER BRIDGE

Produced from 1953-66, and 1968-69. This is the rarer version of the traditional girder bridge. 10" long and 4 1/2" wide. The center sheet metal base is thinner than that of the 314. The sides of the bridge were molded in black plastic. "U.S. STEEL"(instead of Lionel) stamped on outside of girders. All lettering is raised and white - stamped. After 1956 the lower left corner was stamped 6418(girder was used as a load on the 6418 flatcar).
