The GG-1 returned at the head of a freight set for the anniversary year, but with a new number and moajor improvements. In a real case of Lionel understanding and item's features, no mention was made by the catalog of the inclusion of a second motor in the locomotive. Almost as if an afterthought, a tag packet with the outfit stated simply, "This Lionel electric locomotive No. 2330 is equipped with 2 motors." The locomotive was packaged in a ventional brown corrugated cardboard box with a liner.

As a payload for the behemoth, the outfit included a 3461 dump car with stained logs, a 3464 operating boxcar which could be either Santa Fe or New York Central, a maroon or black 6456 hopper car, the ubiquitous 6462 gondola a nd a 6457 caboose. Despite the die-cast chassis of the log car, this consist was hardly a burden for the dial motored electric.

The blue vinylite figure in the boxcar had outstretched arms, but the hands and face were no longer painted. The gondola, which could have been either black or red, was laden with six turned wooden barrels. Bringing up the rear of the train was a 6457 Lionel Lines caboose with a blackened metal smokejack. All the rolling stock was packed in Middle Traditional boxes.
