LIONEL 2340 TUSCAN FIVE STRIPE CONGRESSIONAL GG-1 (1955)

 

Made in 1955. GG1 painted diecast body with five rubber-stamped gold stripes, gold heat stamped lettering, small PRR keystone decal centered at the upper quarter of the sides, small keystone nose decal numbered "2340" at each end, headlight lens, running lights and ornamental horn at each end, two pantographs, twin motors, Magnetraction, three position E-unit, light both ends, horn and operating coil couplers. Tuscan GG1's were introduced on the Pennsy when the new silver Congressional was put into service in 1953 and Lionel quickly followed suit - introducing the Tuscan GG1 and the famous Lionel Congressional set.
