SANTA FE STREAMLINED PASSENGER CARS

Built 1964-65. In the mid-1960s, Lionel was cutting costs throughout its product line, and the plastic streamlined passenger cars were no exception. Made to match the Nos. 2405 and 2406, they did not have window silhouettes or interior illumination. The bodies were painted silver and the blue lettering heat stamped. Most of these cars were parts of a set. Only a small amount were boxed individually for separate sale. Therefore, to find one in a box would be rare.
