SANTA FE BLUE STRIPE PULLMAN

Built from 1959 through 1963. These cars were the s ame body mold as all of the O27 streamlined cars t o precede them. They were silver with blue lettering and a blue band through all the way across the sides at window level. The three cars made like this were the 2412 Vista Dome, 2414 Pullman and 2416 Observation. The Pullman car is the rarest of the three because a set of three cars would commonly include two Vista Domes and an Observation, but no Pullman. They were all illuminated and all had window silhouettes along with die-cast trucks and magnetic couplers. They were all packaged in orange perforation boxes. 1959 was the only year in which matching blue ALCo u nits were included in the set - the No. 208s. From 1960-1963, they came with ALCos painted in the Warbonnet scheme - the No. 218s.
