2434 AND 2436 - NEWARK AND SUMMIT TWO CAR PULLMAN AND OBSERVATION SET - BLACK LETTER VERSION

 

Illuminated interiors. Built from 1954 until 1958. Lionel introduced the 2400 series molded plastic streamlined passenger cars in 1948, based on a Pullman - standard design. The series ran basically unchanged except for color schemes until 1966. All cars were designated "LIONEL LINES" and, except for the 2436 "MOOSEHEART", all cars were named for New Jersey towns near the Lionel factory in Irvington.
