Newark Pullman Red Letter Version
Newark Pullman. Illuminated interior. Built 1954 - 1958. Lionel introduced the 2400 series molded plastic streamlined passenger cars in 1948. Based on a Pullman-Standard design. The series ran basically unchanged except for color scheme through 1966. All pre-1959 production was designated "LIONEL LINES" and except for the 2436 "MOOSEHEART", all cars were named for New Jersey towns near the Lionel factory in Irvington, NJ. |
