ILLUMINATED RED STRIPE PASSENGER CAR SET

 

In 1956, Lionel produced an attractive set of plastic streamlined passenger cars readily identifiable by a broad red stripe running through the window area. The balance of the car was silver, and the cars had red heat-stamped lettering. The car were illuminated and had silhoutted window strips. The Clifton was the dome car of the series: Clifton 2442, 2442 and the Summit 2446 car.
