LIONEL LINES RED STRIPE SUMMIT OBSERVATION CAR ***RARITY 4***

 

1956. Observation, matches 2442. Based on a Pullman standard design, the 2400 series ran basically unchanged, except for color scheme, through 1966. All pre-1959 production were designated LIONEL LINES and were named for New Jersey towns (except MOOSHEART) Beginning in 1959 with the blue striped cars, they carried the Santa FE road name. A ll came with four wheel die-cast passenger trucks with only one roller pickup per car.
