2527 SUPER O ARMY MISSILE LAUNCHER MILITARY SET

The 2527 Super O Missile Launching Military set was produced in 1959 and 1960. The difference between the two years was the set box. The 1959 set box was all yellow, whereas the 1960 box had a two color version - half orange and half white. The set included a 44 U.S. Army missile launcher, 3419 flat car with operating helicopter, 6844 flat car with missiles, 6823 flat car with I.R.B.M. missiles, and a 6814 medical caboose. Other items included were a 943 exploding ammo dump, twelve 31 curved pieces of track, one 32 straight piece of track, one 48 insulated straight track section, and a 39-25 operating packet. There is a very rare red bodied version of the 6844 missile car that occasionaly was included in the set instead of the black bodied version (note: beware of reproductions of this car!).
