BLOCK CONTROL SIGNAL
|Built from 1956-1959. This is simply the block signal version of the train control mechanism from Lionel's 115 and 132 Passenger stations with automatic train control. It is the only Postwar signal to have a train control function built in, as opposed to depending on a 153C contactor. The 253 includes insulated pins for 0 and 027 track to create an insulated block. 56-57 version has black painted base. Includes envelope with insulating pins for 0 and 027, 2 CTC lockons, 3 wires, and 253 instruction sheet.
