2628 MANHATTAN PASSENGER CAR - TYPE 3

 

Made in 1950. The Madison cars were the cream of the early Post-War passenger car crop. With the 2625 Irvington car being the first and only one released in 1946, the Madison and Manhattan cars joined it in 1947. All cars using the same number - 2625. From 1948 to 1950 each car had its own number. Tuscan painted bakelite body, white heat- stamped lettering, lighted with passenger silhouettes in window, and six wheel trucks.
