3512 FIRECAR WITH LADDERS

An interesting variation. Built from 1959 until 1961. Unpainted red plastic body with white, heat-stamped serif lettering on the sides. As the car moves down the track, the red beacon flashes and the fireman sitting on the front moves from side to side. It has AAR trucks with operating couplers on both ends. One of the trucks has a roller pickup for the light, while the other has a small belt drive wheel attached to it to control the movement of the sitting fireman. There are also two rigid ladders that hang from each side. The extending ladder came in both black and silver - with silver being rarer. This car is extremely fragile and it is very rare to find one completely intact and original.
