TRACK CLEANING CAR (MOTORIZED UNIT)
| This car was designed to use sponge donuts that spin (driven by an internal motor) as this car is pulled behind a loco (it is not self powered). Saves time and effort when your track needs cleaning. Built 1956-60. Book states printing on bottles LIONEL TRACK CLEANER. Not true - original bottles say LIONEL TRACK CLEAN! Original bottles are soft and were squeezeable, repros are solid and top is not removable. Instruction sheet 3927-44 dates as 8-56. The typical inspection slip was #511, inspected by 5615MC. Use Lifelike track cleaning fluid (part # LL-1415) (click on 'RR maintenance' under the 'supplies' category on the navigation bars on the left. |
