6361 TIMBER TRANSPORT CAR

 

Type I - built in 1960. Unpainted body used on 3361 operating lumber car with dull white rubber- stamped letters, black oxide coated chains, (car does NOT unload logs), solid metal frame and brake wheel. Load contains three logs with bark, held on by two chains. AAR trucks usually with two operating couplers. Type II was built in 1961 and again from 1964 until 1966, with a modified metal frame used on the newly introduced 3362 log dump car - otherwise it was unchanged from the type I. Type III (extremely rare) was built from 1968 until 1969, with no lettering and some cars having gold colored chains. Has Hagerstown box.
