LEHIGH VALLEY MAROON HOPPER

 

  • The Lehigh Valley used maroon paint on many of their cars, and this Lionel product is one of the more distinguished looking cars that Lionel produced
  • With heavy metal trucks, they just don't make things this good today
  • Built 1948- 55, a 9 1/2 inch long hopper; painted body with white heat-stamped letters. Staple-end or bar-end trucks. Brake wheel. These little hoppers were a Lionel mainstay, built with unbeatable Lionel postwar quality never again duplicated
  • These cars are models of the coal cars from the old days and today's trains too
  • Fequently found in solid trains of coal cars as well as mixed in trains with other cars
  • Produced from 1949-1959 they have been fully checked out by our service department to ensure years of fun for you and your family
