LIONEL 6464-150 MISSOURI PACIFIC BOX CAR

This car was part of Lionel's product offering from 1954 until 1957. It was available for separate sale and as part of two sets - the 2247W Wabash F3 of 1954 and the 2281W Santa Fe F3 of 1957. There were five variations of this car. However, most of them come on a blue body shell with yellow doors. The gray features were all painted. Some of the variations are as simple as the cars being made on different body mold types - they were made in type I, IIa, and IIb over the years. Some had solid yellow doors while some have the gray stripe painted through the doors. There is one extremely rare variation where the "MoPac" logo appears just to the left of the door in the fifth field. 99% of these cars have the logo in the fourth field. This car has bar-end trucks with operating couplers on both ends.
