6556 M-K-T STOCK CAR - RARE!

You are viewing a gem of Lionel's product offering - the 6556 Missouri-Kansas-Texas "bi-level" stock car. The car itself doesn't have two levels of storage, but the prototype did. The car just has two doors on each side. This car was only available in 1958 as part of one set - the 2513W Virginian Rectifier set. It was also available for separate sale that year, but overall not many were sold
  • This car has a painted red body with unpainted white doors. It came with bar-end trucks, a seperately-applied brake wheel, and operating couplers on both ends
  • This is the most sought-after stock car that Lionel made in the Post-War era (the more common ones were the 6376 circus car and 6356 yellow New York Central).
