M-K-T STOCK CAR ***RARE***
|You are viewing a gem of Lionel's product offering - the 6556 Missouri-Kansas-Texas "bi-level" stock car. The car itself doesn;t have two levels of storage, but the prototype did. The car just has two doors in each side. This car was only available in 1958 as part of one set - the 2513W Virginian Rectifier set. It was also available for separate sale that year, but overall not many were sold. This car has a painted, red body with unpainted, white doors. It came with bar-end trucks, a separately-applied brake wheel, and operating couplers on both ends. This is the most sought-after stock car that Lionel made in the Postwar era (the more common ones were the 6376 Circus car and thr 6356 yellow New York Central).
