Lionel pw-671rr-1951&2 turb

PENNSYLVANIA TURBINE 1951 & 1952 RR MODEL

Built in 1951 and 1952. This engine is basicly a 681 that because of the shortage of magnetic material during the Korean war, Magne-Traction could not be used, so Lionel reverted back to the 671 number designation. The tender has 2046W stamped on the frame, bar-end four wheel trucks, and PENNSYLVANIA heat-stamped lettering in White. There is a hole between the first and second pair of drive wheels where the Magnets for Magnatractionm would have been placed. The cab came stamped with or without the RR(re-run) printed below the 671 number.
