MARINE CORPS DUKW FLATCAR. Unpainted plastic body with heat stamped lettering. Metal brake wheel. AAR trucks with 2 operating couplers. "DUKW" boat unpainted plastic with heat stamped lettering. Original boats are lettered 'MADE IN U.S.A.' on underside inside a circular branding with raised letters. Inside the 'Made in USA' is a pennant shape with letters 'PYRO'. 'P' is the largest letter and the size of letters decreases with the 'O' being the smallest. Built 1958-1959. Original boats with this lettering are extremely tough to find and origianl boats can be considered as a rarity of 10 on a scale of 1 to 10
  • A DUKW is an amphibious 2 1/2 ton 6x6 truck built by General Motors during WW2. Vehicle was used to transport troops from ship to shore and further inland
  • 'DUKW' is the GM model code as follows:D, first year of production (1942); U, Amphibian Utility style; k, front-wheel dirive; W, two-rear driving axles.
