TRACK MAINTENANCE CAR MOTORIZED UNIT *RARITY 5*
|One of the toughest motorized units to find complete and unbroken. Built from 1960-1962, a poor seller for Lionel. Self-powered signal service car, unpainted black body cover with white, heat stamped lettering (maintenance car does not appear on body), dark gray brush plate cover, light gray platform assembly with rubberized man and red sign marked "DANGER" and "SAFETY FIRST" in white lettering (sign rotates with directional change), inverted L-shaped bumper brackets with blue rubberized bumpers, direction controlled by bumper-operated slide. Came in a 1960 style orange box from Kraft St.Joe (#69-15) with insert for the platform. Also small unmarked envelope for the man and sign and directions.
