POSTWAR ZW 275 WATTS YELLOW BOX (1959) RARE

The famous ZW. Built from 1948 to 1966. The king of all model train transformers! Operates four trains at once on different tracks, with four independently controlled throttles. Two of these throttles have a built in whistle and direction controls. Handsomely styled with a rugged case, they were designed to resemble real railroad control equipment. They retailed for $25.00 in 1950. You can get 275 Watts of power out, making it a great power source for your command control system. An inexpensive adapter cable plugs right into a modern Powermaster or two (Lionel stock number 6-12867), or even four using four adapter cables! This lets you run old trains on four main lines with the wireless handheld, without any modification to the locomotives. Another advantage of using a ZW - you can easily control the maxamum output voltage to prevent little hands from driving too fast. This way, everyone can have fun running the trains!
