  • In common with it's big brother on the real railroad, the Lionel model is extremely powerful and fascinating to watch, with smoke, whistle, bell and can uncouple from the rest of the train anywhere on the layout
  • The ZW 275 watt transformer (manufactured between 1950 and 1960) was specially selected becuase it will provide enough power to add 15 or 30 or more cars, will remotely control and the loco, and will provide plenty of power for many years, including many more accessories, 2 or 3 more sets and/or 2 or 3 more mainlines of track
  • The transformer is fully guaranteed for 5 years and remains the best choice for heavy duty railroading
  • The set includes a traditional Pennsy lighted Red Caboose with portholes. The cars have deluxe metal trucks with springs and operating couplers and can be uncoupled from the train with the push of a button
  • The layout is provided with extra large 72 inch diameter track which will fit nicely around any size Christmas tree, and also will accomodate any and all extra large loco's that Lionel has ever made
  • The operaing coaling tower will provide hours of extra fun simulating coal delivery operations on real railroads
